Explore London’s Royal Parks

We’re perfectly situated opposite two of London’s beloved Royal Parks, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.  As you stroll through a plethora of green space you’ll be sure to see something eye catching. From the stunning Italian gardens, featuring fountains and stone statues to the Diana Memorial Fountain and natural wildlife. You’ll even be able to admire Kensington Palace as you explore its grounds.

Getting there: 0.2 miles, 1 minute walk.

St James’ Park is another notable Royal Park that is widely known as the home of Trooping the Colour – a yearly celebration for the Queen’s official birthday. As well as its famous flowers beds by Buckingham Palace, this park is also home to a beautiful lake and Pelican’s which were first introduced as a gift from the Russian Ambassador in 1664.

Getting there: Take the Central Line from Lancaster Gate to Oxford Circus, followed by the Victoria Line Southbound to Green Park, then walk 1 minute. Alternatively, 42 minutes’ walk (2.1 miles) from hotel.

 

London by water

If you want to opt for something slightly different, why not explore London by boat? GoBoat is a dog-friendly, self-drive boating experience, which can seat up to eight people. You’ll be able to choose your own route and explore for up to three hours, for a chance to discover London from a whole new perspective. You’ll be able to pass by Little Italy, Regent’s Park and more, so why not pack a picnic and bring together your favourite people and pups to enjoy this unique experience!

Iconic attractions

Bringing your dog to stay doesn’t mean you have to miss out on all London’s top attractions. Tower Bridge welcomes dogs to explore the historic tower and learn more about the people behind the tower from architects to coal stokers and women workers. As well as exploring Victorian engine rooms, take a look at their glass floor to see what lies below.

Getting there: Take the Central Line from Lancaster Gate to Bond Street then take the Jubilee Line eastbound to London Bridge, then walk 10 minutes.

 

A dining destination

Head to King’s Cross for a host of dog friendly places. From walks and parks to dog-friendly restaurants, cafés and bars, you and your pooch are in for a treat! Whether it be Spanish tapas, American-style burgers, craft beer or stone-baked pizza’s there’s lots of venues in King’s Cross which will cater for your furry friend – some even have special crockery and pet-friendly snacks and drinks, including paw-secco!

Getting there: Take the Central Line from Lancaster Gate to Oxford Circus, then take the Victoria Line Northbound to King’s Cross St Pancras, followed by a 1 minute walk.

 

Shop ‘till you drop

The original East London market place, Old Spitalfields Market has plenty of shops awaiting you and your dog. Including big fashion names such as & Other Stories to independent stores, there’s also a selection of dog-friendly food spots, to make sure you won’t go hungry! You can even explore the market together and find a new favourite piece for your wardrobe – or theirs!

Getting there: Take the Central Line from Lancaster Gate to London Liverpool Street then walk eight minutes.
