London’s Hyde Park, with its stunning 350 acre parkland abundant with meadows, trees and the spectacular Serpentine Lake, lies just adjacent to the Royal Lancaster hotel to the south.  One of the famous Royal Parks,  and acquired by Henry VIII in 1536 from the monks of Westminster, it wasn’t opened to the public until 1637 - thanks to Charles I.  This impressive tract of land houses the aforementioned Serpentine lake with its network of beautiful bridges, the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain and The Serpentine Gallery, a haven for art lovers, housing modern and contemporary art exhibitions.

For children visiting London, The Lookout provides an excellent educational playground facility while the range of catering facilities provide restorative food and drink during your visit!

Perfect for a gentle stroll or an energetic jog, Hyde Park also offers a series of guided walks where you can learn about the Park’s wildlife and architecture.

Venturing out of the park you enter the hustle and bustle of urban city life, with Knightsbridge and the world famous Harrods to the south, Bayswater and Paddington to the north, and the West End theatre and shops to the east – The Royal Lancaster Hotel really is perfectly situated with a central location that offers a plethora of choice for any appetite.

The park is open from 5am until midnight all year round.
